Accounts Assistant - 6 Months

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Accounts Assistant for a 6-month contract based in Singapore. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your accounting skills within a multinational environment, with responsibilities spanning across insurance claim processes, VAT processes, invoice batching, bank reconciliations, vendor creation, property accounting process, and audit support.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting various accounting functions within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting in insurance claim processes, managing VAT processes for the region, handling weekly AP and AR invoice batching, conducting monthly bank reconciliations, and assisting in vendor creation. You will also be involved in the monthly property accounting process and provide valuable support during the annual audit. This role requires a high level of commitment and the ability to manage multiple priorities within limited time constraints.

  • Assist in insurance claim processes
  • Support regional VAT processes and filing
  • Manage weekly AP and AR invoice batching
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist in vendor creation
  • Support monthly property accounting process
  • Provide assistance in annual audit support
  • Perform ad hoc and administrative duties as instructed by Accounting Manager and AP Lead

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant role will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. You should hold an accounting degree with at least 1-2 years of post-qualification experience. Familiarity with IFRS & US GAAP is essential, as is experience working within a multinational environment. Excellent communication skills are required for this role, including proficiency in Korean language. Your ability to work as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and work within limited time constraints will be key to your success in this role.

  • Accounting degree with minimum 1 to 2 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of IFRS & US GAAP
  • Experience of working within a multinational environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within limited time constraints
