An exciting Financial Controller - Japanese Speaking (six months contract) job has just become available at one of the most respected banks based in Singapore. This is a role for a Financial Controller who is fluent in this field.

About the Financial Controller - Japanese Speaking (six months contract) Role:
In this business critical role, you will work closely with shared service functions in China (accounting, billing, accounts payable and receivable).

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle complex general accounting, tax and financial reporting in a mid-size (or large) MNC
• Manage production of regulatory reporting
• Support accounting and tax filing
• Prepare financial reports and corporate tax
• Document/set up the SOP (standard operating procedures) for financial reporting
• Improve reporting and accounting practice/procedures
• Support/lead the implementation of ERP system

To succeed in this Financial Controller - Japanese Speaking (six months contract) role, you must be fluent in Japanese and English and able to communicate with local Japanese staff and overseas office.

Key Requirements:

• (Mandatory) Fluent in Japanese and English, able to communicate with local Japanese staff and overseas office
• MNC accounting and Japan taxation knowledge
• Ability to handle complex accounting and tax calculation
• At least 10 years' MNC accounting, or Big 4 audit/internal audit experience
• Finance project experience such as ERP implementation, merger (demerger), internal control/accounting(or reporting) process improvement, etc.
• Strong Excel skills
• Accounting knowledge should be equivalent to CPA level/tax knowledge; able to calculate the corporate tax and deferred tax independently
