Financial Controller

An exciting Financial Controller job has opened up at a family office.

About the Financial Controller Role:
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller is responsible for undertaking all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The Financial Controller will also get to partner with their portfolio companies to achieve operational and business excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take charge of accounting and reporting functions of the fund, FMC and SPV, including working closely with the outsourced fund administrator to ensure timely reporting
• Manage and comply with corporate tax, GST, transfer pricing, FATCRS reporting and filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Supervise and review work of trade transactional team in Indonesia and Singapore
• Manage additional controller duties as necessary

To succeed in this Financial Controller role, you must be passionate in developing oneself professionally as one will be exposed to the rigour of fund management, portfolio management and trade finance.

Key Requirements:

• CA with a degree in accountancy and other related discipline
• Familiarity with Singapore financial reporting standards. Familiar with international tax/regulatory compliance, such as OECD, FATCRS regulations
• At least 10 years of experience in a managerial/leadership capacity
• Motivated self-starter who demonstrates resilience and initiative to improve processes and financial performance
• Hands-on, able to think outside the box to resolve issues
• Experienced individual with a positive mindset and can-do attitude. Able to collaborate with cross-functional team to achieve company goals and teamwork
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP, Microsoft Office software, preferably experience with business intelligence tools
