About the Financial Controller (Professional Services Startup) Role:
This is a newly created Financial Controller role, reporting to the Head of Finance. You are responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting activities of the company, and will be responsible for consolidation review as well as supporting executive management team in offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company on top of finance operations. You will also be leading an international team in charge of operational finance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, and providing guidance to global operational finance teams
- Developing long-term business plans based on these reports
- Liaising with external auditors and tax agents
- Looking into strengthening current internal control and process improvement
- Identifying areas of improvement and implementing new financial processes and systems
- Reporting the financial health of the company to the management
To succeed in this Financial Controller position, you need to have a starter mindset and possess strong hands-on finance technical skill sets.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in a financial role, preferably in accounting and audit
- Experience in business finance and financial forecast
- Strong people management skills
- Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to stick to time constraints
