Senior Accountant (Financial Reporting and FP&A) Our client is seeking a highly motivated, efficient, and hands-on Senior Accountant with a focus on Financial Reporting and FP&A to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing design firm in an entrepreneurial environment. You will handle all accounting duties including accounts payable and receivable, issuing invoices, processing payments, payroll, bank reconciliations, project accounting, general accounts administration, as well as management reporting and supporting long-term strategic planning. * Opportunity to work in a dynamic office environment * Handle comprehensive accounting duties * Support long-term strategic planning

What you'll do:

As a Senior Accountant focusing on Financial Reporting and FP&A, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's finances. Your responsibilities will span across various aspects of accounting including accounts payable and receivable, invoice preparation, cashflow management, banking reconciliation among others. You will also assist in preparing customised management reports for Directors and Shareholders on a regular basis. Additionally, your role will involve performing budgeting, forecasting and analysis that support major corporate decisions. Working closely with project managers to track project budgets, profitability and billings will also be part of your day-to-day tasks. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing financial controls and streamlining accounting processes for improved efficiency.

  • Manage full set of accounts including GL, AR, AP accounting
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable duties
  • Prepare invoices and manage cashflow tracking
  • Perform banking matters and reconciliation
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual customised management reports to Directors and Shareholders
  • Perform budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that support major corporate decisions of the management
  • Work closely with project managers to track project budgets, profitability, and billings.
  • Enhance financial controls and streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position is someone who holds a College or Professional Certificate/Diploma/Graduate Diploma in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent with relevant working experience. We are looking for someone who is independent, reliable with a high sense of integrity and work ethic. Experience with MYOB or other accounting software would be beneficial. Excellent Excel and charting skills are required for this role along with excellent spoken and written English. The ability to multitask and excellent organizational skills are also key to succeed in this role.

  • College or Professional Certificate/Diploma/Graduate Diploma in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent with relevant working experience
  • Accounting experience in a professional services company preferable
  • Independent and reliable with a high sense of integrity and work ethic
  • Experience with MYOB. Other accounting software in addition will be beneficial.
  • Excellent Excel and charting skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
