Accounting Manager
Our client is a global logistics company, with a strong reputation in providing secure and efficient transportation and storage solutions for high-value goods. They are in search of a knowledgeable Accounting Manager to join their team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring financial reports are up-to-date and compliant with standards, managing a team of 3-5 individuals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to enforce checks and balances for control, manage yearly audits, and submit GST and Tax. A strong understanding of SEA regions including Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines will be a significant advantage.

What you'll do:
As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the accounting department. Your excellent organisational skills will be put to use as you monitor and analyse accounting data, producing accurate financial reports. You will establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles while coordinating annual audits. Your ability to provide recommendations for system improvements will be highly valued. You will also assign projects to your team, directing them towards achieving compliance and accuracy.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Provide recommendations for improving systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Accounting Manager position brings proven experience in a similar role. Your advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases will be essential in this role. You possess the ability to manipulate large amounts of data with high attention to detail and accuracy. Your knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations will be key in performing your duties effectively. Lastly, your ability to direct and supervise a team will contribute significantly to our operations.
- Strong technical knowledge in tax reporting is a plus
