Our client is an international law firm with a focus on private capital at the intersection of personal, family, and business. They are looking for an Accountant to join their team in Singapore. What you'll do:
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our client's finance department. You will be responsible for accurately processing Cash Operations transactions, reviewing bank accounts daily for prompt allocation of funds, working closely with the Revenue team in London, processing time-critical payments from the client account, maintaining vendor records for the Singapore Office, recording and reviewing supplier invoices on our invoice management platform (Chrome River), preparing, reviewing, and posting disbursements as requested, and processing, recording, posting and reconciling Petty Cash for Singapore office.
- Ensure the accurate processing of Cash Operations transactions for the office
- Review daily office and client bank accounts for prompt allocation of funds
- Work with the Revenue team in London for prompt and accurate allocation of funds received in settlement of fees
- Process time critical payments from the client account
- Maintain vendors records for the Singapore Office
- Record and review supplier invoices on our invoice management platform (Chrome River)
- Prepare, review, and post disbursements in relation to photocopying, searches fees and other as requested
- Process, record, post and reconcile Petty Cash for Singapore office
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Accountant role will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within Legal Finance at a law firm in Singapore. You should have a good understanding of the Singapore Legal Profession (Solicitors’ Accounts) Rules. Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and English is essential. You should also possess IT Skills including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Chinese Word Processing. Being well organised with strong administration skills is key to this role. You should have the ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines. Being self-motivated with a positive approach to working under pressure in a busy environment is also crucial.
