Our client is seeking a Finance Manager for an 8-month contract. What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's disbursements and managing the technical aspects of bookkeeping. You will be responsible for preparing audited financial statements in line with FRS, liaising with external auditors, overseeing the annual audit process, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your role will also involve collaborating on internal bookkeeping, preparing annual budget reports, administering reimbursements, assisting in finance committee meetings, performing monthly revenue reconciliations, and managing the monthly account closing process.
- Prepare and review audited financial statements in accordance with applicable Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), including FRS 116.
- Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Oversee the annual audit process and prepare necessary documentation for the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations, standards, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with Vistra to manage internal bookkeeping, accounts and disbursements.
- Prepare annual budget reports for the Treasurer and ministry heads.
- Oversee administration of reimbursements, invoice payments, and preparation of expense reports.
- Assist in preparing materials for Finance Committee meetings and presentations.
- Perform monthly revenue reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Review and manage the monthly account closing process.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position will bring a wealth of experience in auditing, accounting or financial reporting. You should have a CPA or ACCA qualification, along with a strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), particularly FRS 116. Your proven track record in handling monthly account closings will be crucial to your success in this role. With excellent communication skills, you will liaise effectively with external auditors and internal stakeholders. Your organisational skills will enable you to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- CPA or ACCA qualification preferred.
