A challenging and exciting Senior Finance Manager (three-year contract) job has become available at a global manufacturing corporation. The Senior Finance Manager will oversee all aspects of financial management, performance management, financial accounting, budgeting, company risk management and company reporting.
About the Senior Finance Manager (three-year contract) Role:
The Senior Finance Manager will advice the VP of Concentrate Plant to ensures financial oversight, dedicated business analysis and drive decisions. You will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling of the Financial Metrics, BSPL and Cash Flow management, Capex and Opex budgeting in collaboration with related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct, supervise, monitor and control the daily finance activities, covering costing, fix asset, inventory analysis, tax, AP/AR, reporting, budgeting, group compliance and audit
- Manage the financial planning and accounting practices by overseeing the preparation of short- and long-term budgets, treasury functions and administration of internal and external funds
- Establish procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records to ensure adequate accounting and financial controls and services
- Review and ensure the accuracy of financial data and timely submission of all internal and external financial and statutory reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements)
- Communicate with management level to ensure financial reports are of requirement, and issuing management reports
- Demonstrate a good understanding of audit and tax requirements by managing and assess taxation-related functions while ensuring ethical and professional approaches are in place to resolve any tax issues in order to meet regulatory requirements
- Monitor the spending through standard and innovative means to meet Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Operational Expenditure (Opex) budget
- Manage internal/external audit activities and implement policies and procedures with an emphasis on internal controls
- As a business partner, deliver sound advice in managing risks, analysing current market trends and providing strategic input for sustainable value-creation within the various programmes and initiatives across the company
- Identify business and financial risks and supports measures to reduce and mitigate them by reviewing processes and internal controls with stakeholders to identify process improvement and gaps; design the right process with good control which is scalable
- Provide strategic planning analysis in developing mid and long term company business plan and goals
- Partner closely with the Regional Finance Team and cross-regional/-functional team to ensure financial reporting according to guideline and drive operational and strategic agenda
- Drive and manage the implementation of Procurement strategies, including Sourcing Strategy, Indirect Material, Contracts Management and Supplier Performance Management with full agreement/alignment with Regional SBFAP Procurement and other stakeholders in scope of work
- Ensure Production Related (PR) and Non Production Related (NPR) materials are purchased with the right quality specification, delivered at the right quantity and time, at the most competitive prices by developing long term business partnership with suppliers in compliance with company procurement policies and in alignment with company goals and objectives
- Be responsible for negotiations and improving spend under contract with the right SLAs and ensure the delivery meets business requirements
- Identify cost savings opportunities through sourcing and other levers
- Be responsible for all associated contracts in scope and their effective implementation
- Ensure compliance with all QEHS and regulatory requirements in every activity
- Ensure compliance with the company's Code of Ethical Conduct in every activity
To succeed in this Senior Finance Manager role, you will need to be have a strong background in Finance and Procurement
Key Requirements
- University degree in finance and MBA degree is an advantage
- Strong experiences in finance and has experience in managing procurement, with proven track record of 5 - 10 years of experience in FMCG or Pharmaceutical
- Experience with managing budgeting processes
- Experience with procurement and contract negotiations
- Solid understanding about accounting system and tax regulations
- Familiar with local and regional regulatory requirements
- Experience with SAP modules, such as Finance (FI/ CO) and MM, EWM and S&D
- Strong sense of business acumen in partnering with business stakeholders and risk management knowledge
