Accounting Manager

An Accounting Manager job has just become available at a FMCG company.

About the Accounting Manager Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the accounting function in Malaysia and Indonesia and will be the point of contact for corporate secretary, government authorities (mainly tax authorities), banks, and distributors (for finance matters). You will be managing a team in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the end-to-end external audit process for Malaysia and Indonesia and manage relationship with Corporate Secretary and other relevant advisers
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations; ensure accurate and timely tax filings, drive completion of internal tax reporting requirements and manage insurance requirements
• Monthly cash flow planning and yearly forecast and budgeting of balance sheet and cash flow
• Forge effective partnerships with the business (e.g. Commercial and Supply Chain Teams) and the customer, and work with them Rn msanaging credit risk
• Manage relationship with local banks and Singapore Treasury Team
• Oversee the activities performed by the outsourcing team for Malaysia and accounting team for Indonesia
• Build strong relationships with teams involved in month-end close in order to effectively drive the closing activities
• Drive Balance Sheet reviews and preparation of monthly schedules
• Consolidate management reports for the cluster/region
• Assist in formulating & implementing accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness

To succeed in this Accounting Manager role, you need to have experience in the FMCG industry and have supervisory and consolidation experience.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience
• Prior audit experience is a plus
• SAP knowledge
• Professional qualifications is a plus
• Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
• Possess good Microsoft Excel skills
• People management skills
