Reporting directly to the Assistant GM and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, this is a great opportunity for a finance professional experienced in financial analysis and business partnering. The successful candidate will eventually be posted to China for an overseas assignment on an expatriate arrangement.

About the Assistant Finance Manager (Shipping Company) Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting financial analysis on the various business units across the group, and ad hoc corporate finance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving the monthly review of trade services/financial performance and KPIs with business units
• Working with business units on annual budgeting, forecasting and CAPEX planning
• Identifying and setting KPIs alongside business partners
• Performing variance analysis and investigate the reasons for the variances
• Providing support for stakeholders in business, investment, and finance related matters
• Conducting analysis with regards to potential M&A/JV projects

To succeed in the Assistant Finance Manager (Shipping Company) role, you must have a strong background in hands-on financial analysis, strong business Mandarin skills and be confident to work with tight deadlines.

Key Requirements:

• Degree qualified with at least five years of financial experience
• Business Mandarin skills (written and spoken) as the candidate is required to work with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Knowledge and experience in preparing annual budgets and forecasts
• Strong understanding of local accounting guidelines
• Good knowledge of corporate finance operations
• Excellent business acumen and stakeholder management skills
