Finance Executive - 6 Months Renewable/Convertible
Our client is seeking a Finance Executive to join their team in Singapore. In this role, you'll manage financial operations, oversee transactions, prepare reports, analyse data, and provide insights to support strategic planning. You'll also focus on tasks such as accounts receivable, payable, and tax filing. What you'll do:
As a Finance Executive, your primary role will be managing the company's financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing transactions, preparing reports, analysing data, and providing insights that will aid in strategic planning. Your duties will also include managing accounts receivable and payable, assisting with tax filing, participating in month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing for audits, and participating in finance-related projects. Your ability to work independently while being part of a team will be crucial to your success.
- Oversee financial transactions ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and related processes
- Assist with tax filing and compliance
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities including preparing and reviewing balance sheet schedules
- Prepare financial records for audits and address audit findings to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Finance Executive position brings a solid foundation in finance or accounting along with at least two years of relevant experience. You have a strong background in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), coupled with excellent communication skills. Familiarity with Singapore’s and Malaysia’s accounting regulations would be advantageous. Proficiency in M365 Dynamics would be beneficial but not mandatory. Above all else, you are highly detail-oriented, organised, able to meet deadlines, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong background in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Singapore’s and Malaysia’s accounting regulations is advantageous
- Proficiency in M365 Dynamics is beneficial
- Highly detail-oriented and organised with the ability to meet deadlines
