Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Accounts Payable Executive for a 6-month contract based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing disbursements, creditor reporting, and fixed assets maintenance under the Accounts Payable functions. This position also involves assisting with monthly closing.
What you'll do:
As an Accounts Payable Executive, your primary responsibility will be managing the accounts payable functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. You will process payments, maintain creditor aging reports, and assist in answering bank queries. Additionally, you will support vouching of pre-trip requests against flight invoices. Your role will also involve preparing quarterly VAT returns and ensuring accurate payment generation.
- Process payments to suppliers and prepare payment vouchers on a timely basis for multiple legal entities through system payment run via Infor SUN
- Ensure accurate payment generation in Kyriba
- Prepare journal entries for payments where necessary
- Communicate and propose payment offset with hotels
- Involve in the preparation of quarterly Australia VAT return
- Assist to answer bank’s queries & provide supporting related to payments
- Maintain creditor aging report
- Support vouching of pre-trip request against flight invoice
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Executive role will bring a strong background in Accounting & Finance, backed by a diploma or bachelor's degree. With at least 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, you are familiar with the principles and standards of accounting in Singapore. Your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of accounting systems will be advantageous. You are known for your problem-solving abilities, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Accounting & Finance
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge in SUN, ONESTREAM accounting systems added advantage
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards in Singapore
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Good problem-solving skill
- Good organization skills and able to prioritize work
