What you'll do:
Your primary role will be to support daily activities and transactions across finance functions. You will be responsible for processing journal entries in SAP, preparing accounts payable, and managing online banking & bank account reconciliation. Additionally, you will maintain the fixed asset register and assist the Finance Manager in month-end closing activities. .
- Processing of journal entries in SAP
- Preparation for Account payable
- Preparation of online banking & bank account reconciliation
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Supporting the Finance Manager in month-end closing activities including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, etc.
- Assisting with the annual external audit, and statistical reports
- Providing ad-hoc management reporting as directed by the Finance Manager in support of other business units or functions
- Supporting the Finance Manager on projects
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Accountant position brings along excellent SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge. You have proven experience in an accountant position, preferably within a multinational company. Your understanding of tax requirements as well as internal control is sound. You possess good problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with a sense of urgency and pro-activeness. Your effective communication skills make you a committed team player. A minimum qualification of a diploma in Accountancy or equivalent degree level with at least 5 years' experience in a similar role is required.
- Excellent SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge
- Proven experience in an accountant position, ideally in a multinational company
- Understanding of tax requirements as well as internal control is good to have
- Sound business acumen and understanding of the underlying reporting aspects
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills, sense of urgency and pro-activeness with attention to details
- Effective communication and committed team-player
- Good English language skills (verbal and writing)
- At least a diploma in Accountancy or degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
