Responsibilities:
-Assists managers in defining and clarifying specifications, negotiating specifications with suppliers, and developing sourcing strategies based on specifications.
-Works with managers to identify and resolve quality problems during system development phases.
-Works closely with suppliers to ensure strong business ties are maintained.
-Develops, implements, and monitors strategic business plans with suppliers.
-Coordinates the efforts of the purchasing department.
-Leads supply chain initiatives with emphasis on leveraging materials and services to reduce costs and inventory while maintaining effective service levels.
-Assumes responsibility for reducing the cost of goods/services through effective negotiations and taking a unified approach with purchasing in meetings with suppliers.
-Monitors the effect of currency exchange on the cost of raw materials and the potential purchase of materials from suppliers in other countries and/or for business unit locations.
-Oversees the resolution of pricing or receipt issues with the accounts teams.
-Approves overall project plans, budgets, and schedules.
Requirements:
-Degree holders
-10 years experience in the field
-Commercially astute
-Able to work in an ambiguous environment
-Able to engage stakeholders at all levels and work on Global projects
