Senior Procurement Manager – Natural Surfactants
The job would require a broad range of work experience in procurement/supply chain / finance and also a good understanding of commodities procurement management. The person should display a flair for understanding value chains, creative thinking and managing an evolving landscape of projects.
Responsibilities:
-Develop a procurement strategy for Fatty Acids, Soap, Glycerine and Ester portfolio that are part of Natural Surfactants portfolio.
-Negotiation of contracts with suppliers for our global requirements.
-Ensure supply security and creation of capacities to support our growth
-Deliver cash, vip, sustainability, stock reduction and operational excellence related targets.
-Business Cases evaluation ( including Make vs Buy and alternates)
-Evaluate capacity creation and capital investment related projects of suppliers
-Co-ordinate with country procurement to deliver materials as per the plan
-Price forecasting and variance analysis
-Delivery sustainability related objectives for the portfolio
-Adherence to the portfolio cover policy
Requirements:
-Educational Qualification :Professional degree in Supply chain or Finance
-Experience in chemical, commodity or related industry is a must.
-Procurement skills :Strong professional negotiation skills, skills to exploit arbitrage opportunities, ability to understand commodity value chain and market drivers
-Financial skills – Ability to develop pricing models, develop scenarios to facilitate decisions make or buy, evaluating the economics of alternate materials, forecasting and variance analysis, capital investment evaluation.
-Networking skills, good communication and influencing skills to work in a highly matrix organisation
