Procurement Manager – Tea
This is a global FMCG looking for a specialist to handle a portfolio of €700 m spend on tea. This role is responsible for the mandate of optimised buying-blending plans out for 30 tea factories, 400 tea blends, 35 countries clustered by region across 3000+ raw material items. The dynamic individual is expected to support the company’s sustainable sourcing roadmap and ambition of doubling business by 2015.
Responsibilities:
-Interaction with Procurement teams across the globe.
-The key challenges are in the area of implementing new ways of working with regional and local teams; drive a world class information system, developing radical approach to improving current processes, taking feedstock forecasting and ordering processes to the next level. A high level of flexibility is expected from you to deal with the complexity of the business with speed and clarity.
-Global Buying and Blending Mandate – generate, administer and compliance using Optimising tools
-Maintain and ownership of supplier master databaseCustomer Requirements Management
-Forecasting & Spend Management
-KPI setting and review
-Project Work – expansion of new Ways of Working to different regions, SAP implementation
-Value Improvement projects
-Key Interfaces: Supply chain hub ; Tea Buying Offices ; Regional Procurement Operations ; Category Supply Chain teams ; Business Systems ; Sustainability and Compliance Manager
Requirements:
-Essential: 3-4 years in Procurement , especially in commodities
-You must possess excellent interpersonal skills backed with strong analytical and IT productivity tools interest.
-Desirable: Experience in the use of Optimisers and usage of IT tools in planning/MRP
