Location: Singapore (West)
Report to: Senior Manager (R&D)
This leading European Optical Manufacturer company has been designing and developing optical related devices since the 1900s. Their operation in Singapore (R&D to production) is looking to hire a highly talented individual to join their ranks.
The potential candidate should be highly technical, innovative and driven. The role would be given high autonomy to conduct concepts design/testing/approval to roll out prototypes that would be manufactured locally in the Singapore plant. The potential candidate should also be able to work comfortably in a lean hierarchy (small R&D teams).
Job Responsibilities:
• Design advanced engineering software for market-leading microscopy products to offer competitive product value to their end users
• Ample opportunities for the incumbent to be attached with overseas R&D centres in Switzerland, Germany & Cambridge for joint software or product development initiatives
Key Requirements:
• A Masters or good Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience in Linux system & Linux system device driver development.
• Experience in object-oriented programming on Windows platform using MS Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010 and MS Visual C++.
• Experience in Windows device driver development, especially for USB2.0 &
• USB3.0
• Knowledge of image processing, signal processing is desirable.
• Candidates with a good track record and software project management skills will be considered for Senior Engineer post.
