As part of the Robert Walters Group, Resource Solutions (RS) is a market leader in Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO). RPO involves taking our recruitment expertise “in-house” and providing an integrated recruitment process to our clients. RS’s services include placing our personnel on site at our client’s premises, managing third party suppliers, providing a temporary workforce for assignments and also screening of candidates. Following success in the UK, RS is now looking to expand into new markets.

The current structure of the legal team comprises the Group Head of Legal with five direct reports situated in UK, an APAC team of two based in Singapore and a sole lawyer in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:
• pivotal role in building a new part of the business including negotiating complex agreements with clients, obtaining relevant licenses, setting up new corporate entities and advising on other related legal issues
• report into the Senior Legal Counsel for Asia
• ideally be based in Singapore but we will consider Hong Kong as an alternative
• substantial interaction with the Group Head of Legal in London
• focus on Asia operations of RS, with substantial opportunity to become involved in the Group’s wider business
• part of a hardworking but supportive global team dealing with a vast range of issues
• opportunity to build a long-term career in fast moving global business and deliver pragmatic solutions to senior management.

Key Requirements:
• at least five years’ PQE in Singapore, HK or UK, with training from a recognised city law firm or regional heavyweight
• strong drafting and negotiation skills
• strong outsourcing experience, including negotiation of preferred supplier agreements, is required
• strong tender experience, as well as experience in the provision of regulatory advice, risk assessment and review of standard terms and conditions, will be an advantage
• involved in research on international regulations for establishment of companies, regulatory issues and provide legal opinions to senior management
• ability to navigate tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities
• ability to take personal initiative whilst being a team player
• strong commercial acumen, with the ability to communicate effectively and influence as well as build rapport with clients, internal staff and legal counsels
• fluent in English; excellent communication skills in Mandarin or Cantonese will be an advantage
