LEGAL MANAGER – ASSET MANAGEMENT
Our client is a multi-expert asset management institution with offices spread across the globe. In the Asia Pacific region, it has offices in many of the major countries, including Japan, Australia, China, Korea, India, Hong Kong and Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the team in Singapore to ensure regulatory compliance for the corporate entity.
Responsibilities
Draft the legal documents for review by head office.
Review of internally prepared documents that are sent to investors
Review all external legal documents from third parties, and finalise all legal documents for sign-off
Assist in the incorporation and set-up of fund entities, including appointment of various service providers
Assist and advice on M&A deal terms
Conduct valuation on potential M&A targets
Perform due diligence checks on partners and potential investors
Maintain relationships with various external professional parties, including lawyers, accountants, service providers
Prepare presentations on various subject matter and issues as and when required
Handle any ad-hoc issues relating to corporate activity
Requirements
Must be a graduate of a tertiary institution, majoring in Law or Finance is desirable
3 – 5 years of experience in legal and/or corporate finance
Independent thinker willing to work outside the box
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-motivated and able to work in a team
