Citrix and Wintel Support Engineer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily operations of the Citrix Xenapp, wintel & application support landscapes, such as:
• Administration & support Xenapp 4.5 and Xenapp 6 farms
• Administration Xendesktop 4 farm
• Publishing Streamed and local application on Xenapp servers
• Troubleshooting & fixing of problems/issues user raised
• Coordination of HW repairs with HW maintenance contractor
• Maintain the list of Server inventory globally
• Coordination with other support units for downtimes with customers
• Monitor whole landscape
• Take over full responsibility of dedicated XenApp landscapes and customers
• Consulting of customers
• Continuous setup of new Hosts, Mgmt. solutions (TBD),in a future step
Pre-requisites:
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Xenapp & Xendesktop server administration experience. Candidates with Wintel, Appsense experience in addition will be preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in large virtualization environments (e.g. Xenapp, Xendesktop or VMware).
• Industry recognized certification in server/storage management will be advantageous (NetAPP).
• Flexible, self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast paced and multi-cultural organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Self-confident and able to take initiative in problem solving independently.
• Able to work under pressure, critical situation and flexible working hour environment.
Required Skill Sets:
• Citrix Xenapp administration and support
• Good networking knowledge
• NFS & NetAPP storage experience
• Optional: Experience with Xenserver and Vmware Esx
• Optional: VMware products, BMC Remedy ticketing system
• Knowledge of Wintel OS would be advantageous
• Programming skills in any of the widely used scripting languages (e.g. Perl) would be advantageous.
Working hours:
8am – 5pm SGT, 9am – 6pm SGT
Stand by during weekend (to be on a rotational basis)
May required during planned weekend activities (like patching of special landscapes)
