Vice President / Senior Vice President, Business Manager (Singapore Office)
This organization is looking for suitable candidates to join the investment team as Business Manager. The Division is mandated to develop alternative investment models and to manage funds based on these alternative approaches using a combination of internal and external management.
As the Business Manager, you are a key member of the Division and provide strategic direction to support functions to effectively oversee operational, internal and external coordination for the Division. You will be responsible for risk and performance management, set up and maintenance of operational infrastructure to support investments, project management, governance and compliance, departmental human resources and financial management etc.
The ideal candidate should exhibit strong analytical abilities with an eye for details, and with good interpersonal and communication skills. We expect you to be a committed team player who is willing to take on new challenges whenever opportunities arise. To be effective, you should be proactive in anticipating the needs of the business to provide necessary capabilities on a timely basis. You should also have strong process management / business analysis skills to enable the group to implement, sustain and enhance operational processes to respond to changing demands; and have a good understanding of internal controls, knowledge of capital market products, familiarity with risk management techniques and experience monitoring fund managers.
You should possess a good tertiary qualification with a good command of the English language; additional qualifications like CFA or CAIA would be favourably considered. You should have at least 7 years of relevant working experience in the financial or fund management industries. Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and database query tools is preferred.
