Responsibilities:
S/he will form part of the senior management team for Singapore Division and lead the Finance and ICT teams and provide controllership and acts as a business partner for the Singapore office.
20% of time is spent on reporting and controllership, 80% of time is spent on business partnering
Drive all aspects of finance and corporate governance including financial management and statutory reporting, financial planning and budgetary control, finance operations, taxation, treasury matters and review policies & procedures to ensure effective internal control measures are put in place and Commercial business support.
Work with the Global Shared Service office on key service deliverables and with capabilities to handle demands of business volume and activities for the Singapore Division.
Ensure quarterly forecasts and annual budget are prepared within schedule.
Provide commercial business support, using the financial information and insights to advise and assist the management team on business development and budget achievement;
Champion all finance initiatives so as to ensure that country growth objectives are aligned with the SSEA Regions strategic financial objectives. .
Manage the contract relationship with the Global Shared Services to ensure that key Service Level Agreement indicators are met.
Accounting
Manage budget
Work with the Global Shared Services located in Singapore to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of accounting information.
Business Analysis
Provide information for management analysis for the Singapore operations, including client/product line profitability analysis, business activities analysis etc with establishment of relevant platform to facilitate the analysis as necessary from time to time.
Assist in financial modelling necessary for business development, including for example costing for new products, investment of new establishment, return on capex investment etc.
Financial Control Standard
Ensure compliance to General Affairs Policy and Procedures for this company.
Ensure compliance of accounting/reporting treatment in line with Group requirements, including treatment for new products.
Bank/Leasing
Work with SSEA region to ensure proper functioning of treasury and financing relationship for Singapore Division.
Working Capital management
Ensure minimum cash holding and maximization of available cash
Meet DSO and AR>60 days targets. Ensure compliance of Credit Policy and payment based on credit terms.
Work with Global Shared Services to ensure that DPO targets are met. Establish good credit terms with service providers, and manage the payments.
Tax
Working with Corporate/Regional office to ensure tax optimization planning
Advise on the implications and issues relating to business taxes e.g. withholding tax etc.
Process improvements
Continuously review of work processes across company functions as well as the Global Shared Service function to ensure efficient workflow to maximize staff efficiency.
Reorganization of the team to ensure maximum productivity for delivery of the business requirements
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting or qualified CPA/CA
Min 12 years post graduation experience, with min 5 years in managerial capacity.
Experience working in a complex and matrix organization.
Big 4 Accounting Firm auditor preferred
Strong business acumen and analytical skills,team player and good communication and interpersonal skills.
