A global market leader with immense growth opportunities in the Region, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager, to be a member of the Asia Pac Statutory team.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for understanding and driving the strategic intent of the statutory and tax accounting functions of the company.
Be a key contact point in Finance for new initiatives, projects and business model changes that have statutory or tax accounting impact.
Be the subject matter expert to represent Finance in engaging global teams to support global projects at the regional level.
Support the Asia Pac operations, to provide advisory support in new initiatives, projects and ensure compliance of all business models with local statutory and tax compliance.
Engage with internal finance teams, the shared services team, tax, corporate accounting and others to analyze the impact of end-to-end financial system and process, and drive necessary changes in supporting business initiatives.
Oversees statutory and tax accounting, to ensure the data integrity of the books, including reviews of books on a monthly basis and managing financial close analysis.
Maintains the integrity of the transfer pricing policy, including royalties, intercompany transactions, and commissions accounting.
Own the SOX controls and compliance in the controls cycle, engaging with Internal Audit, corporate accounting and other controls and compliance functions, to review new and existing processes for internal controls compliance.
Provide ad hoc analysis as required
Manages the yearly statutory audits, direct and indirect tax filings and other statutory requirements.
Seek continuous improve of processes, driving automation and simplification in processes, and at the same time maintaining strong corporate governance
Requirements:
7-10 years experience with the Big 4 and MNCs, with experience in internal controls, project management and financial analysis.
Bachelor degree in Accounting, preferably with a CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS preferred
Business/finance acumen & analytical skills; global project leadership or exposure is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively across different levels in organization.
Strong planning & organizational skills, with ability to work under tight deadlines independently.
Experience in working with diverse teams.
Knowledge of SAP (FI/AP and FI/GL modules) is an advantage.
