Regional Supply Chain opportunity (12 month contract)

This company is a global pharmaceutical company whose mission is to extend and enhance human life by developing innovative medicines and health care products. They are looking for a distribution leader for the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities:
Manages 3rd party logistics providers and distributor relationship for several Asia Pacific markets with the support of local office in various markets.
Support global procurement with 3PL/distributor selection process as well as final contract negotiations.
Work closely with manufacturing plants, distribution & transportation managers and new product launch leader to ensure shipping processes are efficient and effective.
Support brand team in cold chain packaging, re-labelling, security etc.
Supports local management in distribution channel management decisions, for new to be launched products and existing ones if appropriate.
Support SAP implementation in four Asia Pacific markets.
Support implementation of a KPI report and a financial dashboard for the region.
Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of life science distribution operations (warehousing & transportation).
Experience with cold chain.
Ability to influence at all levels.
Ability to create organizational capabilities to support and drive strategy; manage and create operational logistics effectiveness.
Strong project management ability & problem solving skills.
Team leadership and management of people across geographical and cultural boundaries.
Understanding of SAP module is a plus.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical business including regulatory and environmental health and safety requirements, key internal and external customers, and functional areas including marketing, sales and finance.
Immediate availability is preferred.
