Our client is the world's leading Marine Services provider with offices around the world.
Responsibilities:
Report to the Executive Vice President within Group Strategy based in Singapore.
Work closely with Group Finance based in our HQ in UK as well as Project Owners of acquisition targets from across the company covering eight distinct regions and several business streams.
Other than interaction with internal parties, candidate is expected to work well with external parties like the members of the finance team within the target companies as well as our M&A advisors
Own the Financial Valuation Models and support our global M&A activities
Evaluate, analyse and estimate the potential of opportunities
Advise benefits, risks and synergies of each target against the company parameters and set strategic objectives
Prepare and present findings to senior management on new acquisition targets
Conduct and co-ordinate due diligence activities with both internal parties and external business partners/advisors
Act in the capacity of a Project Manager in managing all the M&A activities at all stages of the M&A Process (From target evaluation to deal closure)
In addition to the above, candidate is expected to provide leadership and demonstrate expertise in the following tasks:
Analytical support for strategic plan development at both the business unit, regional and group levels
Analysis of current and potential business models at the enterprise and business unit levels
Design and automate models for Strategy and scenario planning
Analyze financial data through comparing budget, actual, and forecasted results, and incorporate those findings into the strategic planning process.
Long-range strategic model development and maintenance for use in analyzing strategic options and development of sound business cases
Assist in the development and implementation of tools, systems, and processes for these strategic business and performance indicators
Any other tasks as assigned by the EVP
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting or Business finance
CPA/ACCA is highly preferred
Minimum 6 years experience in a financial planning, reporting and analysis role
Excellent financial analytical skills
Comprehensive knowledge of financial modelling, accounting concepts and practices including IFRS
High level of computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and including report writing experience
Advanced Excel skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The individual must be a team player and yet capable of working independently
Personable traits like flexibility and dependability are greatly desired
Excellent written and spoken English
Proficiency in spoken mandarin is highly favoured.
