Due to an internal mobility within the team, this prestigious global investment bank seeks to hire a regulatory reporting AVP/ Analyst for its Financial Control division. Financial Control is primarily responsible for ensuring that the bank fulfils its external financial reporting requirements including statutory accounts, capital adequacy reporting, large exposures reporting and statistical reporting.

Key responsibilities:
• Basel 1 reporting for the Group’s entities. This will incorporate the calculations of counterparty risk requirements as well as banking book Weighted Risk Assets (‘WRA’).
• Preparation of all returns and responding to all queries received in relation to the returns lodged.
• Supporting line item movements in returns lodged
• Responding to the Group and Bank of England’s queries on calculations performed.
• Analyzing and implementing new reporting requirements from Bank of England
• Looking at improvements to current processes and co-ordinate the transition of the current process for return preparation from semi-strategic to a fully strategic IT process
• Enhancing current processes to ensure transparency and control
Key Requirements:
• Qualified accountant with 5+ years (for the AVP role) and 2+ years of experience, particularly in banking
• Background in finance/ investment banking through direct employment or Big 4 audit firms exposure
• For the AVP role, proven team leadership abilities as you will be given the opportunity to manage a team and interact with senior staff across multiple jurisdictions in multiple functions
• Strong control awareness, especially within financial services. You will also have the mindset to strive to identify potential control breakdowns and propose improvements.
• Solid negotiation skills as you will also streamline processes in the most efficient manner not only within the team, but also across departments.
• Meticulous and displays positive attitude towards learning
