ABOUT THE ROLE
Working in a fast-paced marketing team and reporting to the Marketing Manager, Asia (ex Japan), the Editorial & PR specialist will take responsibility for researching and writing a range of communications materials. The ideal candidate will have a journalistic (on or offline) background and understanding of social networking techniques.


ONLINE

- Write professional, engaging, SEO friendly copy for Robert Walters websites in Asia, developing a clear style for the sites (including copy for microsites and specialist areas within the site e.g. international career management, newly qualified accountants, Asia Job Index, client microsites)

- Working in conjunction with the team’s marketing executives in Asia, write e-newsletter content for candidate and client email communication. Compile newsletter from existing content across the business as well as sourcing new ideas for content

- Edit content for other email campaigns, including ‘hot jobs’ and ‘hot candidates’

- Manage news feeds and content/press circulation

- Conduct weekly spot checks of job adverts in Asia and train consultants on how to write strong advert copy

- Work with the Group's marketing team to provide content for social networking channels (Robert Walters Twitter page for journalists, develop content for Facebook group (focused at potential recruitment consultants to work at Robert Walters) and look at ways to exploit Linked In to promote Robert Walters as industry experts) [Including managing/maintaining Robert Walters Face book and Linked In membership]


PRINT

- Help to position Robert Walters as a thought leader in the field of talent management through researching and writing white papers and articles
- Work with the business to write quarterly market updates
- Work with the marketing manager to provide content for Robert Walters’ new magazine
- Submit content to the Group’s ‘Operating Report’ by collating feedback from MDs globally
- Write pre and post event material
- Ad-hoc project commissions from the business
- Write and edit the Global Salary Survey for all markets in Asia


PUBLIC RELATIONS

Leverage corporate brand awareness in local and international press

Specifically:

- Work with marketing executives to increase the profile of nominated divisions within trade and national press
- Responsible for global web polls and circulate content/data to the global marketers
- Work with the marketing manager to conduct ‘career insights surveys’ and other PR generating surveys


The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

- Strong command of the English language (with impeccable grammar)
- Have a passion for the written word
- Highly patient, meticulous and responsible
- Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Easy-going personality with the ability to communicate with people at all levels across all markets in Asia
- Take initiative to improve existing processes and establish new internal benchmarks/guidelines
- Able to take full ownership of all projects
- Understand that this job will require lots of proofreading, editing and writing - which will take up at least 85% of your time
