This organisation is a Local MNC, which is SGX Listed, and is part of a large Group with diverse commercial activities, spanning electronics to marine sectors.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on role in assigned functions of the Finance Dept,
- Responsible for the full spectrum of AR function; including credit control, AR credit insurance, debt collection and follow-up, monthly closing and reporting
- Work closely with and support operations/project teams on financial aspects of tenders/contracts/projects; including liaising/negotiation with banks on LC,BG,PB, bid bonds,
- Project costing, monitoring and reporting
- Handle project related matters, such as project/WBS creation, billing and closure of jobs.
- Assist in Quarterly forecast, yearly budget, monthly / quarterly reporting and GST submission
- Monitor Company/Division/project performance according to the Plan.
- Compliance on statutory/external requirements, and handle internal and external audits (interim, hard close, year end audit). Ensure operations compliance with Finance Policy and related internal control.
- Manage standard and ad hoc information/reporting to HQ. Work closely among the Group Fin community.
- Advise/Assist Division / project managers on foreign taxation issues relating to overseas projects; such as withholding tax,
- Handle treasury functions e.g. Manage cash flow & foreign currency hedging/exposure, project cash flow & financing,
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, or equivalent; CPA preferred,
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar environment/capacity.
- Experience with SAP and project costing/costing would be an advantage
- Experience in working closely and supporting operations/projects, or sales & distribution functions
- Team player who is result-oriented
- Team player who is able to multi-task, work under pressure and mature personality
