This is a rare opportunity to join a world-class global financial institution in a leadership position. The communications role is a highly visible and important position in the bank and carries with it the responsibilities of positioning Group Technologies & Operations ( GTO ) as a strong business enabler through internal communications and external media opportunities.
Responsibilities
Develop communications strategies and implementation plans for GTO globally
Highlight achievements and contributions and facilitate and raise awareness of GTO across the Group and its networks
Ensure negative news is handled honestly and professionally and messages are communicated clearly
Drive communications with business colleagues that are aligned with GTO and banks Group messages
Drive a calendar of consistent internal communications within GTO to ensure all employees are informed, aware and proud to be GTO
Develop and implement a proactive external media relations program for GTO to profile and position the bank as a leader/innovator in technology and operations
Develop communication channels including use of innovative real-time media channels
Assume ownership for internal online portal for GTO staff, including oversight of its content
Requirements -
At least 10 years of experience in internal / external communications in a Technology or Financial Institution
Good Project /Program Management skills
Good relationship and networking skills - ability to manage stakeholders across all levels in a complex, fast-changing matrix organization
Experience with issue management e.g. managing difficult news to minimize impact on reputation
Strong writing and presentation skills.
Good PR/media skills an advantage
Ability to innovate and experiment
