This organization is an industry leader in the services industry with a truly global presence.
Responsibilities:
- Review the month-end closing of all Group Insurance entities with a combined annual premium income of US$60 million. These include insurance, captive reinsurance, insurance broking and underwriting agency companies in Europe.
- Perform monthly analysis of underwriting results for presentation to senior management.
- Monitoring and reconciliation of insurance bordereaux with external insurance brokers.
- Streamlining of insurance processes and continual review of underlying systems for improvements in internal and external reporting.
- Interfacing with the Group Risk Management team.
- Interfacing with local or external accounting team globally.
Requirements:
- CPA with 8 to 10 years experience in insurance industry in various capacity (preferably reinsurance)
- Must have hands-on experience with month-end closing, including review of technical reserves
- Familiar with the operational functions of an insurance company
- International exposure
- Able to work independently and good interpersonal skills
- Travelling is required, in particular to Europe and the UK
