A regional role delivering on strategic procurement across Asia Pacific
A consumer goods company with an outstanding collection of beverage alcohol brands. The company is looking for Chinese speaking individual, with good command of business English and international career experience, who can lead across functional and multi business unit team and implement stretching category strategies.
Responsibilities:
• This role will be responsible for strategically managing a regional spend for packaging with the target of delivering min 5% net cost efficiencies year on year (y-o-y lower component COGS)
• Manage and achieve/ exceed the Procurement performance targets set for Asia Pac
• Accountable for the development, approval and implementation of stretching category strategies that fully leverage LCCS (Low Cost Country Services) opportunities in China
• Drive cross regional alignment through establishing and managing robust co-ordination with the regional category managers in North America, Europe, Latam and Africa
• Ensure effective supplier relationships are developed with key suppliers in Asia Pac that will address the company’s strategic imperatives and deliver value
• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder management across all Business Units within Asia Pacific
• Lead a cross functional and multi business unit team to develop and implement stretching category strategies
• Coach and guide the local procurement team members in effective strategic procurement
• Effectively manage key stakeholder relationships and ensure full engagement and support
• Play an active role as a senior member of the Asia Pac Procurement community and support their leadership activities
Requirements:
Degree educated with minimum 5-7 years Procurement experience in an FMCG environment or other relevant industry
A excellent working knowledge of Procurement and its’ processes, specifically from the Procurement Capability framework, this will be strengths in;

• Communication
Candidate must be well versed in Chinese and English. International career experience will be highly advantageous.
Proven track record of delivery in challenging business environments and ability to engage and influence a wide range of senior stakeholders.
Previous experience of working in developing economies would be an advantage.
