This company is a Leader in the marine market and is looking to hire a Finance Business Partner to support the Marine business for the region.
Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for assisting the Controller – Singapore Finance Shared Service in ensuring all financial and management accounting functions pertaining to our businesses are properly managed and supported.
- This position is also responsible for financial and management accounting functions of Marine Division, providing business partner support to the business. This includes management reporting, budgets and forecasts, support business initiatives and act as a single contact point for the business for Finance related matters and interface with the Singapore Finance Shared Service.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial and management accounting information of the Marine business. This includes Actuals, Budgets and Forecasts
- Supporting and managing new initiatives for continuous improvement in financial and management accounting processes, business support and operating cost efficiencies of the Marine business
- Responsible for the management and administration of local financial policies and procedures and ensure its compliance with Group policies and procedures. You are to develop implementation strategies and work closely with the business to ensure compliance
- Ensuring that the cash targets are met. You are responsible for managing the cash position of the business ensuring effective use of funds and hedge against financial risks (eg. Currency, credit or interest rate risks)
- Ensuring proper and accurate costing of products and services, provide analysis and recommendations
- Maintain proper accounting records in compliance with internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with relevant accounting standards and other regulatory requirements
- Ensuring effective internal control systems and ensure its compliance by the business
- Ensuring timely and relevant project reviews are conducted in support of our businesses. You are expected to manage the financial performance of projects and ensure the support of internal (eg. Project Managers) and external customers (eg. receivables collection)
- Ensuring mitigation of financial risks in projects. You are to manage the R-R insurance programs and ensure project requirements are met (eg. Insurance cover, bank or parent company guarantees, time options)
- Managing the corporate income tax affairs of the business, ensuring compliance and resolution of tax issues
- To provide support internal and external audits for timely and successful completion.
Requirements:
- Preferably local graduates from NUS/NTU who have strong foundation in undergraduate education.
- Audit experience from international accounting firms
- Controller experience
