This global MNC designs, builds, sells and services safe, reliable marine propulsion solutions for commercial traffic throughout the world. Due to its continued growth in the region, it is now seeking a highly driven and capable individual who maintains control, accountability and ownership of the manufacturing operations in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the management team to understand business strategies, analyse current organisation performance, develop/ implement plans to build needed organisation capabilities and process improvement activities in order to support the aggressive business growth
Execute group production plan, support the planning of production schedules and the coordination of material and machinery requirements, as well as formulate and recommend manufacturing policies and programs
create, track and manage budgets, timelines, tasks, responsibilities and activities to meet customer product quality and on-time delivery expectations
identify, track, and report metrics for monitoring manufacturing and process performance and/or consistency
serve as a day-to-day advisor and coach to managers and employees
Requirements:
Degree in a Engineering discipline or equivalent
Eight to ten years related experience in manufacturing
Five years experience in managing supervisory personnel and demonstrate employee relations skills like conflict resolution, alternative dispute processes and facilitation skills
Experience in six-sigma and lean manufacturing programs
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills to interface effectively at all levels of the organisation with a proven ability to lead/influence at all levels
Experience with organisational budget planning, management and reconciliation strong problem solving/analytical skills to investigate and formulate recommendations and action plans
