This organization is a global engineering and industrial services company. To support its expansion in Asia Pacific, they now have a need for Project Controllers to join their team in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- project costing for all the company’s projects and contracts
- actively monitor and manage cash flows and costs relative to revenue at a project/contract level, including regular reviews of margins, deadlines and change orders
- identify and manage issues and risks associated with each project/contract
- produce weekly and monthly reports on the project status against budget, identifying issues and business risks, with a variance analysis of fluctuations
- prepare and update project forecasts on a timely basis
- development and reporting of KPI metrics and identification of key trends and red flags in the business
- Partner the Project teams in tenders and opportunities with financial modeling, continue this participation in the execution phase, including timely billings and receipt of ARs
- maintain sound internal controls and implement Best Practice business processes in project management
- maintain and improve the project costing system
- interface effectively with key external and internal parties, especially the Project teams and suppliers
Requirements:
- A university degree or professional qualifications in Accounting; specialisation in cost accounting is preferred
- At least four to five years' relevant experience in the construction industry
- Proven ability to partner effectively with line management and project teams
- Analytical and incisive in identifying and reporting on trends and business risk
- Strong commercial awareness
- Good computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communications skills, proficient in English
- Possesses a positive and proactive outlook as well a team player approach
- Be enthusiastic about personal development and career ambitions
- Demonstrated flexibility in business judgement
- Ability to travel overseas when required
- Mandarin speak is a must, knowledge of dialects preferred
